Established in 1897, Pavlov First Saint- Petersburg State Medical University was founded as the Medical Institute for Women. At that time, Pavlov First Saint- Petersburg State Medical University was the first and only institution both in Russia and in Europe offering a golden opportunity to all the women to gain higher medical education!
