The National Testing Agency (NTA), which conducts medical (NEET-UG) and engineering (JEE Main) entrance exams, has decided to NEET exam on September 13 and JEE Mains exam from 1st September to 6th September.
In this coronavirus pandemic and flood-like situation across the country, some Indian states have decided to provide free transport facilities for NEET/JEE students so that they won't miss their exams due to lack of transport.
- Madhya Pradesh Government announced that it will arrange transport facilities free of cost for the aspirants who are appearing in the NEET and JEE Main exam, from their area to their examination centers. Students will have to register themselves on given portals. Click Here
- The Chhattisgarh government also announced to provide free transport facility to the NEET (UG) and JEE main aspirants. CM Bhupesh Baghel had instructed all the district collectors to ensure free transport to all the candidates from their area to their exam centers. He also instructs that directed nodal officers be appointed to coordinate with RTO and DTO to arrange vans, buses, and other vehicles.
- IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay students have come up to help JEE Main and NEET UG aspirants quickly get to their examination center from their area. Students have created a new portal called 'Eduride' to help candidates from remote areas navigate quickly to their lockdown exam centers.
JEE Mains exam would commence from 1st September to September 6, 2020. Approx. 8.50 lakh aspirants will appear in this engineering entrance exams that will be conducted in 660 exam centers across the country. On the other hand, NEET 2020 exam is conducted on September 13, 2020, in 3843 exam centers.
