Description of NEET- UG and Why is the date 17th July so important for medical aspirants?

NEET - UG is the medical entrance examination, on which medical aspirants need to qualify in order to secure a medical seat in India such as:

  • MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery),
  • BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery),
  • BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery),
  • BSc (H) Nursing courses,
  • BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery),
  • BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery) and
  • BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery).

With NEET, in just few days, medical aspirants appearing for this competitive examination are suggested to gear up for the most difficult exam in the field of education in which their future of pursuing a medical profession lies in.

Every medical aspirant is aware of the importance of NEET examination and all the dedicated aspirants start preparing for this competitive examination right from their 11th standard as they don’t want to leave any stone unturned and somehow manage to reach their goal of making a career in the medical profession.

For the year 2022, the NTA i.e., the National Testing Agency will be conducting the country's single undergraduate medical exam, which is NEET - the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and more than 18 lakh aspirants have registered for the same as per estimated by the NTA.

The most important date on which the exam is going to be held is 17th July 2022, as per stated by the NTA.

It has been recorded that there is a significant rise in the ratio of medical aspirants appearing for NEET and almost 18.72 lakh aspirants will be appearing for NEET and since 2021 there is a remarkable rise of over 2.5 lakh aspirants out of which, 8.07 lakh are male candidates and 10.64 lakh are female candidates as per stated by the NTA.

This cut-throat competitive examination will be conducted in 13 different languages and among the aspirants who have registered this year for the pan-India exam, 910 are Non-Resident Indians, 771 are foreigners and 647 are Overseas Citizen of India card holders who will be facing the most challenging time in their lives.

The ratio of medical aspirants appearing for the exam in English language is on the higher side followed by the national language Hindi and then Tamil. The admit card date for the NEET UG 2022 is not yet released and is expected in few days and only then the aspirants can locate their centres once they are announced.

In the year, 2021, the NEET- UG was conducted on 12th September and almost 95% of the registered aspirants have appeared for it i.e., over 15.44 lakh aspirants had appeared for the exam which was held at 3858 centres and almost 8.70 lakh aspirants had qualified on this examination and every year the ratio of aspirants appearing for this examination is on the rise.

The importance of NEET can be understood by taking into an account of the number of NRI’s and foreigners appearing for this examination as the admissions in any Indian medical university is completely depended on how well the aspirant has performed on it.

The higher the scores on this exam, the more chances of securing admission in your preferred university. Moreover, due to various reasons not all aspirants manage to score well on this exam and so even by qualifying NEET, they have various opportunities of pursuing MBBS in Abroad and fulfilling their dream of becoming a doctor.

From last few years, the Medical Council of India has made it mandatory for aspirants pursuing MBBS from Abroad to qualify NEET in case if they want to practise in India after the completion of the course.

So, now all the aspirants who wants to pursue MBBS in Russia, MBBS in China and MBBS in Bangladesh or any other country should at least qualify NEET so that they can appear for NEXT after completing the degree in case they want to practise in India.

Skip Un touch topic:

Aspirants should not touch any new topic, which might lead to confusion, in turn resulting in affecting the performance on the exam. This might also create stress in the last moment which is not healthy for one’s state of mind. Remember stress is the thing which you will have to come out of in order to perform well on the examination.

Revision:

Revision is a very important part of learning. Moreover, it makes you confident enough to appear the NEET exam with strong determination of scoring well on the test.

Eat Healthy and Take Enough Rest:

It is very important to include healthy food in your diet while you are preparing for the most difficult examination. Another most important thing is to take enough rest in order to improve concentration which will also keep your mind calm and stress away.

The above-mentioned things are the most important factors in the current situation as the big day is just a few days away and it should be followed with dedication by the aspirants in order to perform well on the examination.
